About
Born to a Korean mother and American father, Costume Designer, Nadya Laska, grew up in Volgograd for 7 years before moving to the states. Her love of clothing started with noticing how the different communities around her expressed themselves. Nadya was taught how to design at an apprenticeship at UW Opera House, where she learned how get to know characters and tell their stories through clothing while thinking of movement. Shortly after, she moved to Chicago where she started her career in commercials working with clients such as Nike, Adidas, and Nissan.
Currently in Brooklyn, Nadya thrives on projects that are an intersection of narrative, streetwear, fashion, and sportswear.
